any1 know how to fit an oil cooler to a 126?

you need to buy a modified oil pump cover i do believe ask uncle dave hes the boy for that, have a look on the italian tuning parts site cant remember the bloody name!! in reputable companys or links.

i think the bis's problems are all down to the tiny engine bay and therefore poor circulation of air...

This is my idea to keep the engine bay cool,



Since I fitted the top mounting thermostat the temperature gauge never goes beyond 3/4 even on the Motorway [-/

pete that looks horrid! it would spoil the car, if you need cool air channelled into the car fit a scoop under the front panel and pipe it under the car to the engine bay, or get onto a company called cool louvres who will cut them into the rear panel to let the heat out, if you fit mesh it gets all pooty and bent and looks really ooeer.

how about all the metal behind the panel? you have to cut a hell of alot away? its up to you but i think it will make your car look cheap and very "max power"

its nothing to do with retro its just that the bis is a lovely shape and doesnt really need big holes cut into it as it spoils the lines of the car, thats my view if you wish to cut holes in it so more moisture can eat into the metal then thats your call . the problem with the car is not the heat around the engine but the rapid heat build up in the engine

Its all personal choice If you do cut the rear panel i would'nt cut any of the metal behind, as the heat rises it will drift out on its own [-/

Remove the whole back pannel!!! it looks much better without it, like a little go kart
oh, and a big wing spoiler is a must too X D
