Just found out, the carb is a weber 30dgs

Well like the shout says, i smashed my bis into a pole in a crossroad, going 20-30km/h. the mecanics of the car are untuched, but the front pannel is hit bad, and the bumper broke, im just soo sad, damn this rain, damn it!!! im moving to the sahara....

because of the day we are on i have a tendancy to not believe it however if it is true then sorry to hear your misfortune at least you have an excuse to rid it of bumpers.

Sadly my friend, its the truth, when i came home last night, and saw what date it is, i started laughing like an idiot, thinking this would be a great (stupid but great) one...
well, here are the pics... do you think it can be straightened out or will i need a new panell?

 Sh1t man. That is unlucky . You must be well upset. I think you could probably pull it out. Would be easier,than replacing the front panel.

Im really sorry to see that gordan, I think you be need some new panels tbh as the smashed ones will ned to come off the straighten the inner panels, hope you get it sorted fella...

I just feel like a hungover, thing is i didnt drink anything, but i feel like getting drunk... well, im going to a pro to see what they say, and see what to do next...

oh, and the inner pannel is just a little dented where the spare wheel pushed it in, nothing serious, its just the front one im worried about...

Well, ive managed to locate a brand new front panell (50€) and a bumper (30€), so ill just replace the smashed bits. Now how hard is it to remove the current front panell? i take it its spot-welded all round? what tools will i bee needing?

cut the meat of the panel out with a grinder so you can get the the joins on the panel then use a spot weld drill to get the remainder of the panel off whe it joins the wings and inner panel...

Thanks stu, but i went to see the local car-repair guy, and it turned out to be a lot less expensive than i thought, so im gunna have them do it. this is finally good news, and i feel relieved. from now on its snail speed for me. theyre going to book me for going too slow...

Just been to the shop, all will be sorted for 80€ next Monday, huh, that's a relief, cant wait to go driving again, and its been 2 days, these little lawnmower-engined boxes are addictive...
p.s. tried driving the cinq yesterday, its soooooo boooriiinnnggggg.... the suspension is spongy to say the least, the steering is horrible, the seating position too high, and the back end is so light it makes noises over the smallest of bumps... that's progress for ya, no wonder they made the airc. 126 longer than the cinq....  [-/

Sorry dude, its just a lame car had more fun with a cardboard box 
the bis is going to see the doctors on monday, hopefully theyll treat her well, and shell be blush and red for times to come, my only concern is rust spreading out in places the original paint cracked...
i have thought about chrome bumpers, but ive decided to go plastic again. this is purely for practical reasons, imagine i was to bump into something, lets say when parking... the plastic just bounces off, and the chrome would dent, and then i would never hear the end of it from my parents... no, plastic is the way to go, although esthetically, chrome is much more appealing... [-/

Well heres the current state, the front is almost ready for paint, the inside of the trunk has been painted with hammerite and ive finally installed an alarm in my electro 126 
i even managed to find a new bumper so will be well once again...
