My power windows are finally here!!! now just got to figure out how to install them...

... the box says it its made in japan, and the instructions are in English, but their English is awful....
its like "you be removed door trim, from doors..." lol its like they used Google translate and copy paste

Had to do a bit of fettling to make the window go up and down easier as they struggled to go up initially.

It's crazy! A 126 with remote central locking alarm and electric windows!

Ive installed the drivers side so far, and it works like a charm, now got to install the other one and pray the window goes easily
Just a question for you, where did you connect the + lead to? i thought of going straight from the battery, but the buttons have lights on them, and i dont want them draining the battery and being on all the time...
Yeah, all sorts of kits are avaliable online, im buying this stuff locally, cos then i can pay cod, but its great, im going for an alarm next, and theres even a module that shuts your windows when you lock the car CRAZY stuff

its all in! the windows roll up ok when the engine is off, but when its on, it works really well, im happy with it. Just havent made a permanent power supply, im thinking of connecting it to the interior cooling fan, cos it is powered on only when the ignition is on, and its a motor just like theese two...

Hold on, i got to finish it first, just the + lead to connect, and its done, and i need to get a new 30a fuse cos i burnt 2 while meddling with it

Its not complicated at all, ill snap a few tommora, it just takes a little drilling and looking for the correct position for the motor, they didn't design these babys in 1972 with power windows in mind.

What about a relay hooked into the ignition and the battery?

On my air cooled there was an arbritary purple and white wire sitting just behind the speedo.

I connected them to that.

It is live all the time but then the little lights have not drained the battery yet.

I don't think it is the strongest of batteries as I had to push it after the plug-in heater experience.

The alarm/central locking comes off the same power source, havn't upgraded fuse, havn't blown one.

I wanted the window roll-up function on the remote thus I think I'll have to leave them like that.

Ive connected the power windows to a fuse which is supposed to be for the rear window heater (but my cheap version doesn't have it) and so far works cool, its on only with the ignition on, and it hasn't blown the 10a fuse which was on the car even though the fuse on the p.windows is 30a. the only problem was finding the correct wire in that wire bunch that goes from the fuse box, but i managed, and its orange...  [-/
