these ones should fit any fiat (and come up often on ebay) I fitted a nut in the hole where the locating lugs used to live  on the wheel then just bolted through using dome headed bolts (only 2 of the 4 on each wheel are actually functional... ) i can take a disassembled pic if you wish to show you how i did it...

disc brake conversion being started within days Im just waiting on a few sillies so Ive got all the bits before it starts he had been hiding from the cold weather for a month until yesterday so Ive only just retaxed him for the road... seemingly 1st gear has gone pop so there might be a gearbox replacement in the offing as well......dont worry theres lots coming up this project is far from finished...

Stuey, are you still thinking about possible engine choices - looks like scooby flat four could fit.  This pic is an early pushrod one, the OHC engine would of course be a fair bit wider.  People put them in beetles with some difficulty, and I guess a beetle bay is probably wider than a 126.

If you can learn to live without syncro then the 500 box is the strongest of all because of the straight cut gears and mated with a Bis diff could be interesting  [-/

Havent updated for a while so here goes, disc brake conversion is now laid out and ready to fit (hopefully next weekend I'll start it if I have the time.

whilst Ive been waiting ive been working on some bumper mods...
most people would be happy with nice shiny chrome bumpers on their Bis but it takes a special type of idiot to strip the chrome off and cut big holes in them.....

so i did-

heres my now chromeless bumper-

the MK1 golf indicators Im going to mount flush inside it-

heres a big hole cut-

and after some tabs welded in and a test fitting of the indicator-

it needs some fettling around the edges and Im going to carve the lenses to suit the curvature of the bumpers better but Im confident its going to look cool ..

more in the week if  I get time...

Why oh why did you do that to your bumpers  :-X :-X
So whats the plan? Painting them in some colour or having them re-chromed?

lol I had a feeling this would be the response :D dont worry theres lots of fettling to do yet to get them fitting snugly and I intend on boxing the lights on the inside this was just the start Im also losing the bumper bolts once its all smooth the will receive a chroming.

end effect will be somit like this-(i cant do the indicators cos im crap with pshop)
and remember kids its only metal!!!
