If you decide to lower it id save up for alowered leaf spring - and get afew people to help you fit it , its not easy.
I'll pop up lots of photos when i get into the build. Very tempted to do discson the front ATM too. Damn snow!

 :o the tiny shocks i have might be too big!  ??? mental lol
I may have miss judged how small this car is ^^ , im glad they didnt cost alot, ill mount them and see where the car sits first i think. So now its only my wishbones im waiting on - very much doubt ill get them before sunday now which is a shame as it means i cant do all that much. On the upside the snows now gone and 2 of my tyres have turned up so at the very least i can get the back end sat level.
Sunday will now be spend making repair sections to weld on and painting the footwells up i think.

I think the front axle weight is about 200kg's, so 100kg's a corner minus the unsprung (brakes wheels tyres etc) so you probably need springs and shocks suitable for 80 to 90 kilos. Some people have had issues getting springs and shocks that actually work with such a small load.

Thats exactly why iv elected to use ones from a quad - tho i still think these will be too long!
With the fact that there is no rollbar inplace ( and i wont be fitting one!) you need a slightly higher spring/shock rate then 90kg otherwise you'll havea flobberly rolly boat of a car. Iv gone for 175lb...and a 300mm shock. Just looking at it i think i needed a 120lb and a 250 shock but we'll see!

The suspension needs to be a little soft on the front, otherwise you will just end up with the front end tramping across the road all the time, mate of mine did that to a beach buggy, pants were filled! Suspension is there to keep all of the wheels on the ground.

 I recently fitted a reverse eye leaf spring to my car. It was the one with 6 leafs(a pain in the ...), so wasn`t as low as I was hoping it will be and used rear shocks on the front as they are shorter. I don`t know how the car is going to behave yet as I haven`t driven it, but it feels very hard. We`ll see.
 How did you get the rear so low? Did you just cut the springs?
 I only cut one turn and used shorter shocks, but I`m not happy with it. It feels a bit bouncy and I think I`ll have to use some of these.

Iv taken 2 coils out to work out the height id like. ill see how it rides but as their the standard springs im expecting in to be pants - how ever now i know the height id like i can either get somthing made up or come up with another solution , becuase ATM where the spring its self is so short they come away from the mounting points on A arm extention...which no one likes to see!  :o

Had my hammer out again! Wishbones AND shocks are now here and im pleased to say they seem to line up to one another quite nicely, just a case of modding little red a little to accept them in the way id like it too. Can't exactly judge much untill i get the wishbones mounted to the car , and for that i need to fit the smaller tyres i have so i can get the bloody wheels in the arches *sigh* If...big if, the weather lets up a bit in the evenings, ill crack on with the cutting/welding a bit and show you what im doing, untill then im working in the wet/dark for a few hours at a time *shivvers*
