Weber 30 dgf mixture screw?
« on: February 20, 2012, 09:41:40 AM »
Any chance of some clues as to where to find the mixture screw on a bIS (weber)? (I haven't actually looked yet, going out side in half an hour to poke it with a stick, and hoped one of you lovely people could help reduce my searching time :D).

On the subject of the BIS carb, could you fit a screw, marked in red on the pic, to make the 2nd choke open sooner?

getting the second venturi to open sooner would probably (not definitely) limit how far the first would open, I had the second seize up a while back, which prevented the first opening fully. To get it to open sooner you would probably have to make it open slower (bear with me) by increasing the distance of the link from the pivot on the second, giving you a more graduated pull starting sooner. I'm sure someone else could explain this better, or tell me I'm wrong (not unusual :D)

It says FIT THE REV COUNTER, what rev counter?

Also could you tune it using this method as I don't have C02 Probe :

I assume they mean a sun tune gizmo for tuning the carb.
