Gearbox query 2

Are the internals of a regular 126 gearbox the same as a Bis gearbox? I do actually mean the gearbox, not the diff, clutch or bellhousing. Spares seem to available for the aircooled 126 gearbox but none listed for 126Bis.

Apart from the actual gear ratios the box's are completely identical, the only differences are the actual ratios

126 suppliers have told me that the gearboxes are identical but the higher ratio is achieved with the diff.- not sure if the pinion gear is different.
If that isn't correct there will be a few gearbox repair items for an aircooled 126 on eBay soon.

The bellhousings are different, 500's have the starter sat up at the top, the 126 aircooled down to the side and the bis completely different again
