So have you got the manifold and special mounting bolts for that carb

I were going to simply use...umm...bolts with nuts on them. There are special ones? Titanium gold plated with shiney hex heads, locking wire holes costing 350 euros each?

These are the special mounting bolts that have a double function as cylinder head nuts then have stud extensions to mount the Dellorto manifold.  [-/

Oh yes got those, I've got them fitted already as I used the Dellorto manifold to fit the CX carb. had to buy a long socket to torque them
I like you air filter and think I'll use a bako. spacer like your has...where to find one...

I removed the carb from the manifold to have a look at the spacer which is about 6mms thick. I happened to have an old inch & a quarter SU carb on the table so I offered it up and it went straight on. I reckon that a spacer could be got from an SU carb specialist or Morris Minor centre.  [-/

Those old SU carbs were good, i wonder how a 126 would run with one on?

I'm going to find me a local Morris place and get one because I think there is value in insulating the carb from the heat of the head

I have seen one fitted to a 695ccs aircooled & the guy reckoned that it worked very well  [-/

You might be able to find a phenolic spacer from a go-kart parts retailer. I have one on my Yamaha 100s kart motor and size wise it looks like it would suit.

Havent tried fitting it though so dont know.

Just a thought and if suitable might save you some cash.
