the bug
« on: June 02, 2010, 10:06:34 AM »
This is the engine so far. It's no supermodel but she is in daily use and is now sporting and extended rocker cover, alloy sump and a carb from a Honda CX 500 which I put on as a trial. Seems to be going ok so the piece of rope will get replaced by a more permanent linkage, that's if I dont find an FZD in the next few weeks.
The oil breather is going to get re-routed into a catch can. I bunged the filter on there for now as I've had it in bits so many times these past few weeks but now she seems to be running very well indeed ;)

Hey Darrell have you fitted the Dellorto yet? If so how is it working?
The car is looking good. I thought they must have been some older pics...

Hi, no unfortunately no Dellorto arrived yet, made me a bit grumpy but it is coming from Italy, was hoping I could play with it this weekend as the car is in daily use and cannot afford to much about in the week....or I end up having to use the bike [-/

Wifey isnt impressed with riding on the bike

Looks like a monkey has been fiddling with this carb...the accelorator pump is set-up so it doesnt work and the choke mechanism is missing....hey ho time to start getting creative with stainless and make a new one. Anyone got an FZD 30.24 that they can take pictures of the choke mechanism?
