Hello to everybody.
I'm interesting in improveing the standard ignition too. I'm going to use part from 126 bis ignition for an aircooled one (if I found for little money) owing to vacuum advance. I used to think that vacuum gives more advance not retard. Somebody wuold be so kind to explain it,please?
I found something about 123 ignition on 126 bis:

If somebody wants to make an electronic ignition conversion, he can use parts from a donor distributor, on 126 bis one is simpler(owing more much room) and better(owing vacuum davance).
It takes wiring, ignition module, magnetic sensor with its little trigger wheel and coil for electronic ignition.
Generally they use parts from fiat cars but you can use whatever you want.

On 126 bis distributor the job can be done better owing to room.
I'd like to show the same sort of upgrade but better done:
http://www.clubfiat500.com/index.php?topic=92070.0The sensor holder and the trigger wheel cost 30 euro but the site of the link is still under construction.
Maybe somebody has skills and tools to do it at home.
If somebody is going to make some kits, for exemple a worksop that want to sell them, thi is a cheap new ignition module for inductive sensor:
http://ape.com.pl/index.php?id=13&produkt=21It's the replacement for zastava and yugo.
As I usually do, I haven't got the wiring scheme but it replaces a bosch module.
If I have more details I'll report.
Thanks a lot.
Good bye
