DESPARATELY NEEDED: Steering column switch

I'm after a steering column switch with: 5 pin red connector, 6 pin white connector & 4 slot white connector.
I've bought two, one from Axel Gerstl and one from Ricambio and they're both wrong and neither stock the correct one. It's driving me mad!
I can't afford to keep buying them from Germany or Italy and posting them back because they're not right.
It's the last bit I need to pass the MOT and get on the road.
Please can anyone help?

It's an '85 126 Brown, It failed the MOT on dodgy lights (indicators come on with sidelights, headlights flash etc.)
I thought this was a bad earth somewhere, but apparently not. After hours of searching through spaghetti, I got an auto electrician to check it out who traced it it to the steering column switch. He is 100% certain that the switch is knackered. I ordered a replacement from Axel Gerstl which turned out to have the wrong connectors (all 4 pin). Ordered another from Ricambio with the correct connectors (not an original 126 part, I think 127 maybe) but the wires were in a different order so everything lit up like a xmas tree! Apparently there are 3 or 4 different configurations of switch for a 126 for reasons unbeknown to me and I can't seem to get my hands on the one I require. I emailed FiatClassic in Germany and apparently they have the correct one, but I refuse to pay the €85.50!! (without postage) they are asking for it. I'm now looking down the x19 route as apparently they are the same switch. I just can't afford to keep buying switches and returning them when they wrong ones arrive. HELP!

Sounds like a bit of a mare & I am probably of no help . I dug an old one out of my shed but it is all 4 pin . THe only problem I ever had with these was when I fitted halogen bulbs without a relay to handle the power so the contacts got a bit melted. I learnt the hard way but your problem sounds a bit different

 I could only say the same as Rusty. I have got a complete wiring loom in the garage, checked it out and it is only 4 pins(it is from a 77 car) Never realised that they are all different. What a nightmare, you`ve got there.

Have you been able to find what the extra pins are for? Does your car have an electric screen wash?
Perhaps you could use a four pin type switch after changing some plugs and then use an accessory type switch under the dash if needed?
A pain in the backside I know but it's horrible to be beaten by a few wires!!!!!!!!

I had to do something similar,
I ended up swapping the connectors to the fusebox.
It took a while as it involved putting a switch on at a time and trying each spade till you get the right one, but I had it done by lunch time and not had a problem since.
It's not the easiest solution, but its very low cost!!

Is your 126 a pull start If it starts on the ignition switch that could account for the extra terminals, and may be fitted with the later type a/c or bis ignition switch.
