A big thumbs up to the Fiat 126 forum, I'm going to enter into negotiatin with goombas to find out the total cost of getting this engine from Poland to sunny Wiltshire.  Once again the Polish come to the rescue and bail out us brits! respect.  Will keep you all posted  8)

1)
Ryanair from Stansted to Gdansk, Bus, train to Pruszcz Gdański (or a lift) Pick up and pay access baggage.

2)
Contact near Pruszcz Gdański puts it on the coach from Gdansk to Victoria

3)
Postage is expensive, shipping is cheaper but takes  6 - 8 weeks.

3)
Plenty of transport from Poland and back, only last wek an empty one was driving from Lodz to Scotland and looking for anything to be picked up.

4)
Drive over, Takes about 20 hours 1 way with a few breaks.

Biggest problem will be how to pay, Paypal is very new to Poland, most use bank transfer. (Watch who you give your details to).

Yeah, I'd go with a bank transfer, paypal or credit card.  The only safe ways really, this allegro site! would I be right in saying it's a poland based site a little like Amazon?

:D Thanks again, this complete engine, does it have a normal head or one for unleaded with hardened valve seats?

Originally Allegro was owned by a Dutch guy but the company was stolen from him by his Polish partners, they simply went and changed the ownership details ::)

I remember the case well when I was out there.

Think I will have to pop over to Poland, when I`m home in Slovakia next time. Stock up on engines and bring some over here.

An other option would be to get them here by a Polish lorry driver, who travels to the UK. Or check Gumtree, I have seen adds where they are looking for an extra person in the car. I am sure someone would bring one over here fore a fee.
