Bad luck, not even close, but I think the body is plastic and the engine is French.

My local classic car dealer had one of those a few months ago. It was quite nice really. As you say, they're  plastic bodied with everything else Renault Clio. The Indian manufacturer (San) can't homologate them though for mass export- they're too fragile and fold up in a crash test! It's called the Storm.   (Sanstorm)
