Been fiddling about the little one today and heres what has been done: <brand new leather cloth door cards>

Can anyone tell me what is strange in the 2nd picture, its a detail, but lets see how good your sight is

Yeah i got it recently, but there is one particular thing on the pic which is not supposed to be that way, yet, it is

Looking very nice. As for what's wrong, is it the way the wiring's going - it's gonna make the door card bulge isn't it?

Or is it simpler than that - the buttons for the window are exactly the same - which one's up and which is down?

The card does have a lump on it, but still not the point, neither are the buttons, little more time, and ill give you a clue...

well you have two plastic sheets for water protection inside rather than one and the bottom of the door has been covered with some sort of backing that looks like felt! youve filled the door up with electrics and must have a lorry battery and an alternator off a hgv !

Lool, but still wrong, you guys are short sighted just as i am (-12  ), ill let you in, you see those two wires, the yellow and the pink one? well its logical that the pink goes into pink and yellow to yellow, but once i connected them that way and assembled the door i found that the up button takes the window down and vice-versa. so take it all apart again and coonect it the wrong-right way

Problems, problems, problems.... where would we be without problems. Now my 2 cyl is leaking oil all over my freshly painted exhaust... does anyone know what could be causing it? it started when we re-tightened the cyl head after the head gasket change, the tappets were re done (but apparently not the way they should, there is a clicking sound coming from the engine which wasn't there before)
and everything was put back into place. thing is there was very little oil round the tappets when we first took the engine apart, and now it is leaking en-masse... 
i suspect the seal round the tappet cover is cr@p, so ill replace that, but could it be something more sinister...  </6

When you replace the rocker gasket check that the oil feed pipe to the rocker shaft is seated properly. I stick the gasket to the rocker cover using clear silicone then the other side of the gasket then fit. once tightened up wipe the excess off. Just a little bit of extra insurance against it leaking

It was the gasket after all, my bro put the damned thing on the last time, and it wasnt seated correctly, i used some locktite sealant for engines on it, its holding so far.
I must admit it was quite scary driving home from across town with oil dripping on a super-heated exhaust. I had a feeling it could ignite any moment. lucky for me it didnt. im getting a extinguisher any way...

Ive finally had my carb replaced!! Yuhuuu... 
The carb thats in is the one from a Citroen gs, it fits perfectly, only diff is that it has all metal parts, so this means i have a working choke finally... oh and second thing ive noticed is the increase in power, i now can go up most local hills in third, doing 60/70kmh.... it finally feels like it has some power under that boot  the engine works soo much steadier now, and makes a lot less wibrations...
All in all i would recommend this swap to anyone having carb trouble, my old one wouldnt start in cold, the car would shake a lot when cold, and used up a lot of fuel, now, it works like a charm, dont even have to use the new choke, cos it starts with just a little throtle...  [-/ [-/
