i've just seen another posting about the group 2 cars,(fiat forum)claiming 58 bhp....really??....does anyone have any engine specs etc? id love to know how they get that from a 650 RELIABLY enough to sell the cars to joe public.........or are polish horses smaller than Jersey/UK ones? :smt003

the only pics ive seen are on here,and show a bike carb/engine steady and a dodgy exhaust..................perhaps less is more..... :wink:

if they really have 58bhp id like to know what spec they are running,i gues bis 13 would be interestd too

they are built by the original rally car guys, so I guess they aint too worried about long term reliability! I wouldnt touch one, some of the welding looks a mess too.

its just that 58bhp is a hell of a lot........when i first heard/saw that i thought typo,but i keep seeing that figure quoted.....most peeps including me are hoping for around 40ish........M.B.G quoted me over 3k for a reliable 5000rpm all day 40bhp 652cc motor....that was with stuff like ferrari dino con rods etc,i shoulnt think the polish grp 2 has them for one minute.

id love to know more.....

oh.i just looked they say 6500 rpm and 7000 rpm max top speed on standered crank,albeit modded......i guess they know what thier doing

cripes,had an answer on fiat forum from polish guy,reckons that to be correct,with some better than 60bhp racing back in the 80's.........

excuse me while i go and re polish my ports etc........ :shock:

i spoke to one polish guy, he said that when he raced them the engines would only last that day, no more than 4 hours track time if youre lucky. he said.

if thats the coup just fix nitros to your car and stock up on e bay engines!!it would probably work out cheaper. i think the 40bhp mark is the most for a good reliable car . oh dave thats only a breeda speeda on that group two!! polish racing technology!!

it is kindof............at the mo its just seats/suspension/brakes and rev counter...........but.........the engine is taking shape on the bench...... :smt077.......
