Dave if you bugger it up you just grind it down again and try again, get some practice metal and play with it until you feel confident, where is the hole? just make sure that you disconnect the battery, cover glass and anything you don t want burnt with spatter and get on with it and before you know it you will be on the road.

I am totally embarrassed to say that I have a Mig welder and a hole in my floor about 4" square. I am avoiding welding the hole as I have never used a Mig welder (gas at school).

The car remains with no MOT as I am worried about 'melting the car'.

If you are that worried I will gladly drive to stansted and weld it up for you!

(but only if you make me a cup of tea...)

hiya Stuey!

Nice work.

I just did the first bit of work on my 126 for over 2 years.  The mrs is away so i spent the evening welding up the back end of one of the sills, not super pretty but it will do.  I think thats it welding wise to get a new MOT.  Just need a couple of other little bits and pieces doing (I hope) and will hit the road.

Then it will be time for fuel injection mk2........

Saw this in person yesterday. Amazing how much work has gone into it. Can't wait to see it done, some more amazing mods on the way by the sound of things.

Finally decided to raise my enthusiasm again today- I managed to get one of the seats I want for the fiat and test fit it in the car- see what you think-

Not sure if I am leaving them alloy or might paint them see what you think guys and girls...

Is it sponsored by anusol?  :D
Look cool the way they are, think they will suit the stripped out racer look you are going for, and the other bits I've seen, left the way are. Might be best to bolt em in and buy a cushion though.  :D

They do come with a cushioned cover but I dont want to use them so i think I am going to make a custom cushion set for them.

We did have a load of decent fabric close to the cover of your car, Hazey was doing costumes for the local amdrams (pirate thing), will see if I can find it if you want.

The pic doesn't show the height difference! (mine was lower  :P ).
Haven't been able to find the blue material yet, might have chucked it when we moved.
Like the new wheels!
Will get over soon, need to point at your car and say wow again! Got to do the brakelines and get the retest on the BM first.
