Hello from Bournemouth - Gmina Tuplice
« on: May 29, 2015, 03:43:33 PM »
Hi All,

I'm happy to announce that I've just acquired my first 126p.

My brother in law bought it on my behalf for 4000zl (£800).  It currently sitting in his garage in Tuplice, close to the German border.  We are going to a friends wedding in Poland in a couple of weeks time, I'll take it for a spin then make a decision about how I'll get it back.  I've driven to/from Poland in the past, I know it's a long old run.  I'm not sure how well a 30 year Maluch will manage it.

It's a 1985 model, the guy I bought it from has a dedicated facebook page for all his project cars.  You can see some more pics here... https://www.facebook.com/pages/%C5%BBarski-126p/320473074817241?fref=ts.

Speak soon,

Dan

Welcome to the forum!!! Car looks great,  if it was me, I'd be pretty sure the car could get there,  my only concern would be getting pulled over by the police in any country and them wanting to ask about who owns the car and insurance etc.

Thanks all.

I'm pretty happy with the colour, but I'm not sure what the code is yet.  I'll have my hands on it in a couple of weeks.

All my friends tell me I'm crazy to even consider driving it back... what's the worst that could happen?

Im off to poland in july for a couple of weeks. Just take regular stops. Berlin is great to look around. Which is half way from poland to calais or there abouts. A 13cm spanner and a screwdriver are the next essentials. Lots of 126 have made the journey so you should be fine. Simon.

The colour of the car is Verde Salvia with the code 331F. I went to take a picture of the label which is still stuck on the underside of the bonnet but leaning across my iPad slipped and fell on the ground chipping away the corner so I gave up on that one. iPad still works but just has a rougher edge  :$
