Gearbox gasket?
« on: April 28, 2015, 10:50:03 PM »
When you're working on the gearbox of a Bis, if you take off the bellhousing from the main casing, should there be a gasket between them?
Mine has an "instant gasket" type substance there probably from the last person who worked on it.
My 'complete gearbox gasket set' doesn't seem to include one for there, so just thought I'd ask?

No it doesn't have one. If you make sure the two surfaces are smooth enough then that should be enough to seal it although a dab of instant seal won't hurt :)
