My red 126 Bis is for sale
« on: March 10, 2015, 11:47:07 AM »
This is a sad day. I was planning to restore my red 126 Bis, but alas, my new job which entails lots of travel meant I haven't got the time to deal with the restoration. So sadly, it is for sale. I bought the car on ebay. The seller sold most of the car with a view to install a bike engine in it. I could not resist buying it. The body shell is immaculate - no rust! I had a donor car (blue Bis), so the plan was to simply transfer all the necessary parts (including engine) to the red one. I amassed lots of spares for the car. Well there you have it. I am looking for £500, or make me an offer. I have the V5. Here are some photos. It has one or two new dings, nothing serious, as it has been pushed from one place to another when required.

Hi, did you sort out the bad welding that was done to it, and have you done any other work on it since you've had it.

There is no bad welding! In fact, no welding has been done to it. No rust in the usual places. Transferred most of the interior from my blue Bis to the red one.

The welding I was referring to was my blue Bis, not the red one. The bodywork of the red one is original - no welding.

There appears to be a lot of interest in my red Bis. Bottomline, I'd rather it go to a Forum member. So guys, make it quick!!!!! The car has to go soon!!

The car is now sold!!! Happily, it was acquired by a Forum member, 126blackbird (Graham).

The shell is in great condition and I did get nearly all the parts from another Bis that Angelo was going to use to rebuild it. So it looks like I have plenty of work to do putting it all back together, have already bought a new petrol tank as it didn't have one. When its finished I will be selling the one that I have been using for the past few years.
