Hi guys just a quick question and may sound really stupid but I have a 91 bis, was the engine set up for leaded petrol (4 star) or is made ready for unleaded fuel. Don't do many miles so shouldn't be much of an issue but just wondered if I should put an additive in at any point. Cheers.

Sorry to resurrect this thread but I have to ask, how do we know the BIS engine is really designed for use with unleaded?
The manual advises we should use four star, and the workshop manual even goes as far to say it should be 98-100 RON.
