my car has no roof lining so i am gonna sound deaden it and then stick some fabric to the sound deadening. do you think this will be sufficient.also i am going to sound deaden the rest of the car to make it quieter not sure if that will work

That sounds like it will work, the lining on my car is nothing special and it does the job. I've got a brand new lining from Italy that I was going to put in one of my cars but decided against because the colour (grey) did not work. Cost me a small fortune £70 which is what I would be happy to let it go for if you are interested.
