My First Fiat126 restoration

I recently went out and bought my self a nice little blue bis for £400. The car itself was on a sorn but did run and engine and gearbox were sound, the only fault being the body having a fair bit of rust and the usual repairs needing done (suspension, brake system etc).

Since purchasing the 126 I've put it up on a ramp taken all 4 wheels and hubs off, taken the front leaf off, stripped the interior and started to cut out all rotten parts of the body.

The end result (hopefully) will be a 126 that could be used as my daily driver.

Thanks for the kind words!  I will try and figure out how to upload photos here without them being over the allowed file size do I can show you all my work so far!

I've managed to get a bit of pace on in regards to the work so if all goes to plan the 126 could even be running within 4 weeks!

Try downloading program called InfranView, that is what I'm using to resize my pictures, really works a treat.

If you don't mind me asking, how many miles has it done? I got the same, a yellow BIS rhd for £400 body is sound, like not even slight rust but there's a few problems with the engine, it's on 34k ATM, wandering how your getting on?

 My 126 is coincidentally on 34,000 too! I picked mine up for £500.
I'll try and get some pictues up tonight of the work so far!

This is the latest picture, all welding done, new suspension, just a case of fitting the interior and a respray and I'll be hitting the roads of Aberdeen in the 126

The price was okay.. But its a drop in the ocean to what this is going to be costing me all in  Couldnt resist having this rear engined, rear wheel drive car! Especially at 17 will be a good laugh!

The 126 progress has been slow but it seems im finally reader for the MOT! 
Most of the works done just need to get the rear back plates on and it'll be ready to go! Disks also fitted on the front and all welding is done  Hopefully ill get some pictures up this weekend!

Thankfully I've managed to get a lot of the work done from the help of friends and family so its been okay so far Owen  The only thing im dreading is the respray   

Brakes will be bled and the car under sealed this week and that's it 99% there
