Charging issue - Alternator? Loose connections?
« on: June 15, 2014, 03:24:47 AM »
I have a weird issue (most noticeable at night).

Will be driving and dash lights / headlights dim quite noticeably (but battery light not on).   Sometimes drive for quite awhile like this.  Then  hit a bump and  boom - everything brightens up right away.

I have checked the battery connections, and the wiring at alternator and everything looks fine.  Even tried wiggling them while girlfriend watching and didn't change anything.

what am I missing?  any other connections to check?  Could it be a bad battery that's causing this?

Sounds like a loos connection. Try all the spade terminals on the fuse box, could also be a fuse with corroded ends.
Good luck
