I have long lost count of the number of car parts that I have sent out around the world when people are stuck for something. I am still doing it and I know other club members do as well. In response to the guy in Sweden who was desparate for a complete engine mount & after a long exchange of e-mails I posted a complete 126 engine mount on the 27th Nov 2013. It never arrived so loads more e-mails and eventually a full refund and frustration all round.

So I filled out the relevent lost item claim form and sent it off with the proof of posting. In the reply from the Royal Mail they refused compensation as I could not supply a receipt for the item even though you have to sign the claim form and they make it clear that you will be prosecuted if you make a false claim. How can you supply a receipt for an item that is a combination of used and new parts that were in my garage & yeah like I am going to send a small brick to Sweden just to try and rip off the not so Royal Mail

So be warned if you are using the Royal Mail and I was not surprised to hear a business expert say on national radio this week that the reputation and customer service was dropping like a brick.
Oh and by the way I got an unexpected package in the post this morning. In a plastic bag was the engine mount

The original package had been ripped open at some stage, it had made it to Malmo in Sweden, the delivery address was still clear front and back so why the hell did they not deliver it instead of returning it to me after four and a half months
