Fiat 126 Brown for sale
« on: February 02, 2014, 11:05:19 AM »
Hi all.
After much thought, fast approaching wedding and lack of secure(dry) storage I decided to sell my 126.
It's quite hard decision to me but hey...maybe after wedding I'll buy early Italian model 8)

There is build thread somewhere here, where you can see most of repairs done. I.E. both rear corners, small patch on o/s outer sill, small patch on front panel, both bottom corners on front and rear windscreen. Both replacement doors also repaired to get rid of rust.
Before MOT I've had all perished rubbers replaced, brakes overhauled, front wheel bearing-ended up with replacing complete stub axle.
In semptember when I had 2 weeks of due to work -or lack of it- I've had engine pulled out for engine bay tidying. As usual it ended up not quite where it should. Replaced all gaskets on engine, together with spare cylinder head, brand new exhaust and repainted all tinwork.

Now the bad bits:
As some of you know someone tride to nick it before New Year, so it has damage to drivers door lock and steering lock but I'm just trying to source parts to have it fixed. Still starts and drive fine though.
Interior needs tiduing up.
Few not original parts fitted, but most availabe to put it back to standard. Original wheels only 3 available as rest rotted away, bumpers only chrome ones-that's how I bought it.

Loads and loads of spare parts at good prices available to the buyer. Ie. 2x spare engine (1 complete, 1 in bits) 1x gearbox, 4x shockers, 2xRHD head lamp glass and LHD head lamp, racing exhaust, front stub axles, various gaskets and small items.

All in all, very usable 1984 aircooled, that needs very little.
Mot till end of June 2014 (no advisories), currently on SORN, but still insured so can tax at buyers cost.
Around 26000 on clock but I can't tell you if only that or 126000 8)
No service history apart from few old Mot
Car is kept safe at my mates in Doncaster atm. and need some notice to sort viewing out.

Pricewise I'm after £2200 but open to reasonable offers.

Pics will be added later as my computer just playing up atm.

Oh dear, that's a shame, Paul, but from what I remember it's a beautiful car so sounds like someone is going to get a bargain.  Good luck with the sale and if those spare parts don't sell be sure to let me know, I'm after a spare gearbox so if yours is in good condition then I would definitely be interested and could pop down to Donny to check it out.
