Thought it would be nice to share are individual motoring histories. We can gasp in delight, laugh, and wonder why you got rid of rid of them. It will also add more weight to our enthusiasm for 126s.

I always helped my Dad with his cars, 5 mk 1 celicas, and started working for a classic mechanic when I was 12. Passed my test in 2002.
My cars:
1992 Peugeot 405 1.6
1984 Vw Polo 1.0, 1.3 engine on 1.0 gearbox, rolled arches, bigger tyres, tuned, debumpered, removed front box, briefly ran with sierra pieburg carb, didn't tick over very well. Kept this going for 5 years.
1989 Maestro 1.3 HS.
1990 2.2 vtech Accord.
1989 1.8 Carlton.
1986 SJ 413
1965 Bedford VAS1 Bella Vista, live in vehicle.
1990 2.0 Transit
1980 2.5 V4 diesel Transit
1978 David Brown 916?
Mk2 Golf 1.3, didn't like it, stripped for parts for polo.
1985 Escort 1.6 diesel two door estate, ex Aberporth airport security.
1990 Astramax 1.7 diesel
1984 SE Range Rover
1984 Mercedes 280 CE
1995 Ford Scorpio 2.9
1984 Suzuki SJ 413
1992 Vauxhall Senator 3.0 24v dual ram, ex police, further tuned as getaway car, searched, put back together badly and auctioned.
1986 Toyota Tercel estate 1.3
1986 Vauxhall astra two door estate 1.6 diesel.
1988 Peugeot 309 two door 1.3
Irish plate 6th gen Toyota corolla 1.3.
1989 VW Passat estate 1.6 TD, my only car to be written off, and I wasn't even in it!!
1981 Toyota Celica 2.0
1988 VW Scirocco 1.6
1990 VW Passat Estate 1.8 petrol
1984 Land Rover 4 door safari 2.25 diesel
1992 Citroen AX 1.0
1989 Vw Passat estate 1.6 TD
2003 Ford Focus 1.8 Ghia
1997 BMW E36 316 touring.
2002 Kia Sedona 2.9 crdi
1988 Fiat 126 BIS
2001 Renault Clio 1.2
Seems a lot, but most were end of life cars bought for under £50. I have left out cars I didn't drive more than once, used to sell a lot on the day I bought them, field cars, and left out ones we bought for the battery, petrol and tyres, we had a small scrap yard for a few years.
I wouldn't swap the Fiat for any of them.

Wow Marc that's some list.  That will take some beating! Here is my history:
1973 VW Beetle
Mk 1 VW Golf GTI
Mk 2 Polo with a boot (bit like a Derby)
Mk 2 Golf GTI 16V
1962 VW Beetle (bought and sold as a project  :o)
1956 VW Beetle (ditto  :o :o)
Mk2 Polo Coupe
Fiat 126 BIS
Had a few works' cars then
1960 VW Beetle
1987 Mk 2 Polo Breadvan (still got)
1976 Bay Window Camper (undergoing restoration)
1952 Austin A40 Sports (actually this is the misses' not mine!)
Fiat Doblo 'car / van thing' - my daily hack - great for shifting stuff!
and of course Charlie Brown 1984 126 Brown  :D

Impressive lists. Mine is a bit shorter.

1.) '86 Polski Fiat 126p, olive green 650E - I drove a rat-style car when rat-style wasn't even invented. :) Written off --> salvaged & restored to high level --> written off again --> broke for spares. Bad luck was chasing that car. :(
2.) '70 Moskvich 412 - bought and sold as project. Now a mad Moskvich collector owns her.
3.) '82 Trabant 601 - It was a remarkably original and unabused little baby with one old lady owner, low mileage. She's in a collectoin in Spain now.
4.) '87 Polski Fiat 126p 650E, original Grigio Oslo paintwork, low mileage, owned by an elderly bloke in our street. She's sitting in a garage now, waiting for a nut and bolt resto.
5.) '89 Alfa Romeo 75 - My daily driver. Bought her off from a classic car journalist. Originally she was made for the Italian domestic market. I got the 1.6 liter engine recommissioned and bored up to 1750 ccm, and got a longer ratio diff.
6.) '87 Polski Fiat 126p 650E white - Bought for my mom as a xmas prezzie, probably saved her from the junkyard. She's now my parents' trusty retiree rocket. :)
Classic, not plastic :)
