Hello from Stockport
« on: August 28, 2013, 08:39:59 PM »
Just purchased my first 126, LHD needs small amount of welding, Headlights for MOT (any help to locate would be appreciated)
Looking to keep standard for now and generally keep it on the road, but any ideas and a nice set of wheels wouldn't go a miss  :)

Welcome.
Looks tidy. RHD lights are pretty rare, if you find some pull the sellers arm off and hide them.
As for wheels it is a tricky subject, we can offer advice but it seems to end up being different on a lot of cars. 5'5J, 98PCD, 13 inch, with (I think) an offset of around et21 seems to be best. Hopefully someone else will verify or correct me on the offset.

Was this in the ford car park recently???

Welcome to the forum, I'm Sophie and also from Stockport. I'm part of Manchester Minis and we meet every Wednesday at the Cheshire Line pub in Cheadle. If you want to pop down we can convert them all to 126's :) ...and maybe make a trip to a 126 meet together.

Yes this was on ebay, gumtree etc etc, it's travelled a few miles to get here (Southampton)
Had the engine running this morning until the fuel pump finally died, sounds really well, even managed a spin around the block :)
Checked over for an MOT - all lights - wipers - brakes etc work as they should, but my main issue is the n/s floor is corroded and really need a floor panel

Not much really - just nned to get the fuel pump so I can get it down to the garage for welding

southampton , thats it now i recall the car.
i spotted it on gum tree but didnt call the seller because the add was posted back in april i think so i just assumed it would have sold months ago .
was up for only £350 too if i remember right, i was suspicious because it was so cheap so didnt pursue it further.
cool color tho.
