Always wanted a pickup!

This would be nice with a little finishing off.  Any idea what these go for?  I'm thinking around £1750... :secret:

That's the black one that has come up on ebay a couple of times the last year, used to be in King's Lynn. It was pretty rough looking, am surprised at the quick turn around. It was last for sale april the 21st, and it was still black.

I really like this one, and I think whoever has converted it has done a really good job. Some of them look rough, but this one looks like it could have come out of the factory.

Not sure if you'd get all your shopping in it though. It is big enough for my dog though!  ;D

Myself and Ladislav went to view this car today. It was one of many.

Please, please, please DO NOT bid on this car, without looking at it first. You need to know what you are buying.

We walked away as it is no-where near as clean as it looks in the photo's, and it is dented all over and the coversion is not as good as it looks in the photo's. The paint job is not brilliant, there is overspray on the numberplates and bumpers and it isnt very clean inside.

On the plus side, the engine seemed ok and sounded like it was running ok.

If someone wins this on auction and goes to collect it, they will be severley disapointed if they have paid good money.

I think the engine was rebuilt two years ago, it was at the garage behind Lynn auction for a couple of months back then.
I didn't think the seller could have done a good job since the end of april, it's been a tatty and battered old thing as long as I remember it.

I just didn`t get how it was a good idea to give the car a respray and leave all the dents in it. To me it`s just a waist of paint. It almost seemed like the guy just resprayed it, so people don`t recognise the car straight away. He didn`t even have the log book back for it yet...

Hi Tom,

My eyesight isn't what it was. I can see a couple of imperfections around the makeshift tailgate but cant see any more dents in the photos.  Just goes to show the camera can be kind...

Whereabouts were the dents?

Would you be bidding anyway (if the price is right)?

The worst bit is the front panel. You can`t see it well from the photos as it  just looks like shades. There are some other places. Also some paint cracking on the pick up bed area.
It has only been painted very recently.

Front panel is dented real bad, passenger door has a big dent in it, top of tail gate has been badly panel beaten.

I will not be bidding on this car, walked away from it on Monday.

It generally looks really scruffy.

When it was black it had lots of obvious filler in it. Looked like the majority of the work had been done with a blunt instrument of some description. I don't know if it is rotten, it wasn't working last time I saw it in the flesh, and it sat at that garage for a few months.

I still haven't seen anything that confirms that it is registered as a pick up either.

Could be a cheap fun runabout, but if what it was like is anything to go by, it will take a lot to get it tidy.

I thought "getting them tidy" was half the fun of owning a 126
