I'm giving away my 126 BIS which I've owned since May this year and has just failed its MOT. I'm inheriting another car, so would rather give this one away as is than sell it. The MOT garage quoted £500 of work that needs doing on it, although may be cheaper than this if you can do it yourself. The car has been running well, so I'd rather see an enthusiast keep it on the road, than it go to scrap or used for parts. Although if there are no takers then I may offer it up to be used for parts.
To pass MOT needs:
L headlight is loose, needs fastening
Welding to n.s inner sill (quoted as £90+VAT)
Replace both front shock absorbers (quoted £185 +VAT)
Replace both rear tyres (quoted for 145/70r13 as unable to locate 135 £42.50 + VAT each)
The throttle has been sticking a bit lately - I bought a carburetor cleaner which I havent got round to trying - it seems there is perhaps a valve blockage, this is a relatively minor problem though I think - it drives ok. Handbrake needs repair - this is very recent problem, in last week.

The car is in Bristol BS6, and I'm looking for it to be collected before the end of the month. It is stored in my driveway (could really do with garage storage - there isn't a whole lot of rust, but problem with sill has resulted just from last few months of being kept outside) - I have it taxed til the end of the month, so would like to hand it over before having to SORN it.
