Anyone got an alternator for an air cooled? found out today mine has sized killing the bearings and generally f**king things up

Dont scrap it though as its an easy and cheap job to replace the bearings in one.

Do not dispose it. You can trade it in for reconditioned one.

There is an alternator on ebay at the moment. I already bought quite a lot of 126 bis parts from her for the red Bis.
