f1?? is so boring... rallies are more exiting for me...

I don't get any rallying, used to watch ralio on welsh tv, but can't find it this year .
I actually started getting into the rally scene in pembrokeshire. I inadvertantly caught up with a participant  on stage near where I lived, didn't know there was a rally on, just assumed it was of the cardigan boy racers in my way! Never quite got the money together to cage it. I can make a polo unbeatable in the mountains!

1984 polo 1045? ish cc, 1300 golf lump (same as 1300 polo) on 1045 gearbox, pieberg 2e3 sierra carb, no air filter, removed flame arrestor box and some baffles removed, 185 avon medium compound front, 165 cheap-n-cheerful rear, slightly lightened all over,scirocco semi bucket seats,  multicoloured, many dents (to the extent of having to remove door handles) and a special spoon to help select reverse

Spoon (of course ), Snapped a few gear linkage rods, so put a slightly stronger one on, but the bush wouldn't fit. So I had to use the spoon to lever the connector rod across a bit to allow reverse to be selected. Seeing it didn't have any door locks and was hotwired for a few months (used to unplug the coil), parking against a wall provided amazing security
