Merchandise?
« on: April 04, 2012, 07:26:25 PM »
I can look at prices for stickers if people would be interested in buying (and designing) some. Might even be able to sort t-shirts, we have a screen printing carousel and screens, just need a bit of space and a load of chemicals. I think it would be quite nice to have some club merch, anyone else have an opinion?

Sounds great. Tshirt would be good. Many years ago when I was a lad  ;D
'There were stickers, key ring on joining the club'.

Printing prices in PL are now similar to UK pricing , but postage is higher.

I agree, it is a great idea of having t-shirts and stickers. Design wise, the above 126 car and Club126UK logo on a t-shirt. A similar design for the sticker (rectangular in shape) as well. It should also contain the forum's website address. What do you think?

That's pretty much what I am thinking. If we ever get around to getting our screen printer back in use designs have to use as few colours as possible, due to time.

Do people want to post up designs? probably start a new thread, or just use this one. I can get prices for stickers, know a print firm who love my 126.

By the way, this isn't envisaged as some big money making scheme, there would be very little real profit anywhere in this. I see it more as advertising for club126uk, and increasing the feeling of society within club126uk. And it would be nice.
Don't know if we could introduce a deluxe subscriber thing (stickers and manuals on disc), or if some of us members just sort  out the printing and selling/distribution amongst ourselves.

What do you think?

This is the club logo.
 Is this what you want?
 Any other ideas?

Hazey the logo (picture attached) on the forum will be changing when an updated board is installed later this year, larger file available if requested.

Merchandise for the club is tricky due to the limited funding of the club especially for purchasing t shirts etc, different sizes, colours etc.  If a bulk purchase is necessary and there are 100% definite purchases let me know the quantities and prices and I will look if it is feasible? Perhaps it is best to stick to subscriber members only just in case of any false orders.

I was going to get prices on window stickers only for now, prices for 25,50,100 to get an idea. Don't see as there is much point getting many more done, we would end up with more stickers than 126's to put them on.

Got some prices, due to the small numbers it is still just price per sticker, not enough 126's to get into bulk reduction, but I normally get very good prices from this place (they don't normally charge me for doing posters for gigs)

Rectangular no clear sections £1 per unit..... £50 for 50.... £100 for 100
Shaped no clear sections.......£1.20 per unit. £60 for 50 ....£120 for 100
Partially clear rectangular......£2.00 per unit. £100 for 50... £200 for 100
Partially clear shaped caused a bit head scratching so prices at a later date if they suss it out (new machine has trouble cutting laminated stock)

These are just ball park figures but not far off.
