What year is the car? Does it have the old small type speedo or the later one?

There is nothing at all on an MOT to say you need MPH, you have just gone to the wrong tester  ;D

What type of clock do you have?

Hi guys, I have a 96 polski fiat! I went to dvla and provided insurance
and various other bits. But before I could register it, I have to
Have a garage fit a new mph facisa and show a receipt for it. If not
They will inspect!
What do you think?

this is to register the car as its been imported and is the norm, the law was not the same in the eighties and that is why some older imported cars still have kph speedometer dials.

My camper was registered with a KPH speedo, Polish import, beam benders and sorted that was only 5 years back.

Maybe just changing the whole clock would be easier.

Sorry all in Polish, but you could download change into MPH and print ???

I have a small spare MPH clock but assume you need the larger type due to age of your 126.

Great Idea, I did wonder if this was possible!

If the dash has three push switches down the sides you should be able to use the later aircooled or bis instrument panel which would be the easiest way.
The picture below is of the Cinquecento sporting dash in a 126 bis binnacle that i'm playing with at the moment.

I've got a Polish a/c on a 99reg and I still havent got round to registering it but when I did some digging of my own I was told the same thing.   Dajwid is right in that you don't need to have a mph dash.
The only reason I havent got mine done is because it needs welding, time and money!!!

Can any one send me a copy of their mph dial?
Will it read correctly? I mean if I'm doing 30mph
Will it read 30 mph?

I have imported cars from France and Italy in the past with kph speedos. I never had problems registering them.

Pete126, please let me know how you get one with the Cinquecento Sproting dash conversion.
