Seicento

Hi all, My 126 is off the road at present until I find out why it is not starting Have bought a Seicento 900 but interested to know from anyone  if the 1.1 is noticeably different This little 900 has already been on two trips from Germany to UK and back as well as Hungary and back to Berlin and a trip to Poland and back to Germany. Terrific little car and the heater works

Improved economy and extra speed are the obvious advantages of the 1108cc when compared to the 899cc, the basic mechanicals are pretty much the same across the range though - other than the Sporting which had different gear ratios and were lowered 20mm, and a rev counter, which is always handy

Thanks for the info This one goes so well am tempted to buy a 1.1 for long term use. I find great back support from the seat on a long run. Would be nice to have a rev counter but even nicer to have a temperature gauge. Was just looking today when I was out in the 900 and I have done 9,000 miles in the last 4 1/2 mounths.

Seicento prices are unbelievable! Lots of very examples around. Amazing. I am tempted to buy a Seicento Sporting but........

I am really pleased with this one and it has done a couple of long journies. As I said it has gone from Germany to southern Poland to Hungary round Hungary and back then to Warsaw before heading back to Berlin That trip was 2,500 miles in 6 days. Lats month I was over to Poland then back to Essen in Germany down to Frankfurt and then back to Berlin so cannot fault it. Thats why I was thinking of going for the 1.1 if its noticeably better performance wise. This one though wil cruise at over 70 all day.  Keep having to back off when I see the needle has crept up to 80 but thats just to not overdo the engine.  Ok the speedo is about 7% optimistic according to the satnav.
My air cooled 126 did a few long journies as well before it decided it was not going to start but its great in this weather to drive something with a heater. Especially since theres been a few nights here at -23C

My Seicento is now at over 12,000 miles since October. Just been over to near the Polish - Belarus border this week.  Getting more and more tempted to buy another.
