500F for sale
« on: November 27, 2011, 08:47:56 AM »
I've lost my job and have realised the 500 needs to go.  :$
I have spent over £2000 on it, most on here have seen the project (Big job) in the restorations section.

Basically it is now on wheels but the wheels are an addition to hold it off the ground, it won't tow.
The panels have been replaced basically the whole way round.
It issn't for the faint hearted, there is still alot of work to do welding etc.
Car comes with the original 500 engine and box and a 600 engine and box.

Makes me sad to have to try sell it but Gill prefers the 126 as the social scene is worth the ownership.
So 126 safe, for now

500 to be listed on e bay this week if no one wants it on here.

Sorry to hear about that Darrell.
Hope the sale goes well for you, and that can find some more work.

Thanks guys, no, the decision has been made, couldn't have come at a worse time as the conservatory is going-up now and still need to pay for half of the conservatory, which means loans etc etc so the best way out is sell as much as I can to pay it off.

Gilly won't let me sell the 126 as we've grown more attached to it and the 500 has just been a metal thing. She says she won't let me but then I might have to.

So far the bike is going, 500, boat and possibly passat. >:(
