Late introduction
« on: July 05, 2011, 06:39:35 PM »
Hi there all,

I've been reading this forum for quite some time now but never got round to introducing myself, probably because I don't own a 126 for the moment but I did use to own one but that's ages ago, friend of mine is driving a BIS for almost 2y but lacks time to scoop the internet and come on to forums so I do it on his behalf.

As I probably will own one in the near future I will become a bit more active here so the introduction was needed IMHO. So, the name is Jim aka Da Londo, I live in Maasmechelen, Belgium where there is to find only one (1) active 126. 500's are here a bit more common since there are several little clubs here and nearby that are dedicated to Italian classic cars, our town was until the mid 80's a mining town for coal so lots of Italians, Turks, Poles etc came here to work, I myself have a Belgian father and an Italian mother so the love for Italian cars came naturally, I currently drive an Alfa GTV which is from 2001.

So this was my little introduction.

I've always liked this forum but there is only one thing that I'm missing here. That is a mechanical FAQ section or sticky posts because I too have searched the forum a lot to find something but repeatedly I had to read through numerous posts stating that this or that topic has been discussed many times over and people first must search, I too think people need to do this before posting the same question again but I think the forum would become more user friendly if the really useful topics (that come up time and again) would be sticky or in a separate section.

That's all for now, just putting in my 2 cents so don't think I like to nag  ;)

Grtz from .be

Jim aka Da Londo

Update: I'm currently looking into buying this one, project in development but the owner can't afford going on with it.
