My 1st 126
« on: June 22, 2011, 10:33:00 AM »
I've just won a 126 Bis 1992 on ebay!!

Looking at the pictures she needs a new sill and possibly a new wing.

Are these easy to replace?  Also need new door cards.

I will find out how good/bad she is when I collect on Saturday!!!???

Picking her/him up (not sure yet until I see it!)  on saturday.

Couple of photos I've seen show door cards missing.  Can't seem to locate any replacements yet. Any ideas.

It is also a metalic blue!!!??? which I'm unsure that they were ever made in?

Any way 2 more days until I uncover all the gruesome details/requirements.  Hope I've not bitten off more than I can chew?

Fernando (kids like Alonso?!?!?) is in his new home and surprisingly clean! :D

Just cills both sides to pass an MOT I am told. I have been quoted £100.00 per side including paint etc plus parts.  Is this a reasonable price, this is all new to me?

Also the O/S front tyre is almost touching the wheel arch but the N/S is not.  It all looks straight underneath and the wheels/tyres are correctly sized.
Any ideas?

Check the leaf spring. See whether one end of it has straightened. It is also possible that the front wheel is touching the wheel arch because it has the wrong tire size. Post some photos of your car!
