the head gasket went on the car the other week (left it running after servicing it and didn't know about the problem of over heating on the water-cooled model) we think the stat has failed (probably due to muck in it as we hadn't got round to flushing cooling system
everyone has suggested we do away with the stat to improve coolant flow?
so it has put us behind on the work but once we had got the lights switch sorted and electrics bad earth we thought that the reflectors might not cast enough pattern for the MOT
now that i know you have some i will wait for results from MOT (we should have the car ready for one in a week or so) i will then get back to you then with what we finally need.
the pipe from the air filter to carb - do you have anything like that as well?
or alternative pancake air filter for the carb or suggestions to by pass the old air filter?
we might even need a carb if we can't getting it running right
ps - how much are your lights and i presume they are good enough to pass a MOT?
