There are differnt types, the black stuff is underseal, you should first remove the old stuff with a hot air gun and scraper, nasty job. The clear stuff is better as it goes inside the box sections, cills, doors etc and all those places where you cant see the rust starting. It needs topping up every 2 or 3 years to keep it effective as it dries out.

haha just seen this post paul, i got it all in my hair

had to rub it out with soap.
after over a week my car is still dripping wet with the stuff

i have just been to halfords to get som araldite, and spoke to a bloke who was looking at waxoyl, he owns a tipo. he said that you can make your own waxoyl, turpentine and candles. would be alot cheaper in long term.
