The Skoda vehicle was called a Trekka. They were sold through the Fiat network. I remember them with out too many tears being shed. When you drove one everyone gave way to you the brakes were that bad. At Town & Country Cars in Auckland we had two of them as workshop hacks. Sent an apprentice out to get someting in one and he came back looking all sheepish (probably not a good term in NZ). When the Service manager asked him what happened he told him it caught fire. so what did you do asked the SM. I put it out said the apprentice quite proudly. Well you're fired said the SM.
