International Meeting Poznan 5/6/7 - 8 -2011

Hello everybody,



Her is a picture from the Fiat 126 Club Poznan. This is a very active club.
I just spent a weekend overthere. Perfectly organized.

They want to set up a meeting on 5/6/7 august 2011. They are trying to make it as international as possible.
So they asked me to put this anouncement on your forum.

Untill now, only the date has been set. But as soon as I know more about organisation and program, I will let you know.

Will you guys be able to help if the car breaks down?

My breakdown insurance refuses because the car is over 10 years old

In Poland help is no problem at all.

And maybe it is a good idea to drive to Poland in a group of Maluch, Konvooi?.

So when something goes wrong, there are many maluch Fans to help.

I personally always drive with a standard package of parts to help me or the people I am driving with.

So do not worry about driving this distance. I have done this many times, and mostly alone:



And then there are these very active forums. When somebody gets stranded, we just put it in several forums and you can be sure of help, in the Netherlands, Germany and Poland.

Looks like fun, but worried that if the engine were to blow I'd be stranded 

Looked into overseas breakdown cover for a 126 and it seems either very expensive or not on offer

Anyone else with an incling to do a jolly to the continent?

This is going to be the service car for The Netherland, packed with spareparts and towing a maluchambulance to rescue every stranded 126.

And if necessary we could even build in another engine. Nothing is impossible.

  Take heart:) I am traveling for years 1973 Innocenti Mini in Europe riding on the International Mini Meeting. (longest run is Spain in 2005, 2500 miles one way:)
  So far I have not had a major accident. Important to ride in at least 2-3 cars. In the event of failure of the "small one" I think he will be willing to help.

I drove my Mini out to Poland last Summer to collect parts for my Fiat, which I bought from Poland in April.
