I see they are thinking of a gravity powered soapbox race down the hill too!

Anyone got some old bicycles we can convert into a 126 soapbox  :P

Have I come in the middle of a conversation? Something about gravity and boobs.

THE RULES FOR THE TRACK ATTACK HAVE NOW BEEN POSTED

Bored of driving up Drag Strips?
Fed up of the expense of Track Days?
Wanting more than the Haynes Sprint Track could offer?

Answer "HELL YEAH" to the above, then this years Track Attack is for you!

RRG11 will give you the chance to run your car up the world famous Prescott Hillclimb. Nows your chance to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Graham Hill and Stirling Moss ....

To grab a slice of the action this is all you need to do!

1) Cars need to be MoT'd (and you need to bring proof!) *
2) Drivers need to show their drivers license.
3) Their is a noise limited - this is 102db.
4) You ARE able to take a passenger.
5) Helmets are NOT required.
6) If originally factory fitted, seat belts MUST be worn.
7) Slick tyres are NOT permitted.
8) Your run WILL NOT be timed.
9) The Track Attack is run in two sessions. 10am-1pm and 2pm-close.
10) Cost is £20 per driver per session.
11) For your £20 you will have unlimited runs during that session.
12) There is a maximum of 60 cars in each session.
13) Drivers and passengers WILL need to sign a disclaimer.
14) Drivers DO need to attend a Drivers Briefing.
15) You may only drive YOUR car, that YOU have presented the MoT for
16) At the moment there is NO intention of pre-selling any of the Track Attack session.

SO THE BASICS,

EVERYONE IS LEGIBLE TO DRIVE THE HILL AS LONG AS YOU HAVE YOUR DRIVING LICENSE AND M.O.T. THIS ALSO GIVES YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO RAISE THE PROFILE OF OUR 126'S & 500'S BABY FIATS, WITH A GREAT PHOTO OPPORTUNITY OF OUR CLASSIC CARS CLIMBING THE HISTORIC PRESCOTT HILL CLIMB TRACK.
PLACES WILL BE SOLD ON THE DAY FOR BOTH SESSIONS.
SEE YOU THERE :P

Won't be timed?

What they worried a 126 will whip them?

Sounds like a waste of petrol going up a hill to be watched, I do that every day on the motorway..

thats a sensible thing really as it would only make folk out do eachother to the point of crashing and that hill climb has some nice spots to crash and make a mess of the car and driver. no helmet suprises me though...

Hmmm , no helmets eh , sounds like a bit of a cavalier attitude to me
I can't help thinking that you missed the point here Darrell. The Prescott Hill is a bit of world motor racing history & I would guess that any guys or girls that get a run up the hill will be the first 126s to do that and it is part of the 126 making it into the classic car scene. The Sparkford track was a lot of fun but I think that this one is a bit more special and as GSXR says there would be a lot of guys around the world that would love to get a go  [-/

Yeah, I would give up all the boobs in the world to have a go at that. The "no Helmets" wouldnt happen in Oz or the event would be closed down due to insurance reasons. Anyone know what the insurance costs for this event would be like???

I still see no point in a hill climb with no timing. And perhaps my point is being missed?

I know that it's health and safety nonsence again with no health and safety helmets???

Basically i see this as something for showboating drifters as there was alot of that last year and the year before.

So it'll be mad tyre screeching in the corners all day with the occasional normal person trying to get up the hill quick but wont know if it was quick  :P

The likelyhood as I see it of something going wrong will be just as high, timing or not ;D
But hey ho may not be able to make it after all booboos boobs or whatever.

126 is sick
