Hi,
Just been given a Bis by a neighbour who has sold their house & has had the car in the garage for nearly ten years.
Put a new battery on it with petrol, plugs & a good check over (put a little oil in to cylinders & turned it over by hand first) & it started fine - a bit smokey but I only ran the engine for five minutes & I think that it's still burning the oil in the cylinders (the previous owner said that it ran perfectly before putting it in storage).
As you can see in pics I have stripped it back quite a lot & I now have a blank canvas, not sure what I will do exactly yet but am enjoying playing with it as I go along.
Waxoyled the underside at the weekend & stripped down the rear suspension as I am going to cut the springs down an inch (as described in a post in this site). Very little rust just some scabs around the body & arches need work but the doors are perfect & the front storage area!
