1983 Fiat 126 For Sale
« on: April 05, 2010, 04:44:40 PM »
I need some advice! I have to sell my mother's (she recently passed away after a long illness) 1983 Fiat 126.  The AA guy who jump started it on Saturday (because it has not been used for a long time), said it was in immaculate condition.  It has always been garaged. The details are: Fiat 126 2 door saloon, purchased 16/02/1983, Brown, 17657 miles.  Picture attached.  Either what sort of price should I ask or is there anyone out there who would buy it and look after it?  She loved her baby Fiat!

As of 30 April, it now has 12 months MOT..............it passed with flying colours!

SOLD 22 May to a 126 Enthusiast.

Thanks for everyone's help!

Sorry to hear about your mother, she obviously cared for her 126 it looks excellent!
It's a job to price any 126 but an early rhd, low mileage, excellent condition model should fetch between £1000-1500 perhaps more if there is enough interest.

I hope this one goes to one of the dedicated forum members so that it carries on being cared for.

Good luck with the sale  :)

Condolences also , just been down that road myself.
I would think that a big issue with the car is that if it has an MOT or not? Not the end of the world though !
In the picture it looks good & I would guess by the the background that it probably lived in a garage when not in use. The valuation that Chris lewis has posted could well be correct with the details you have given so far. This forum is not like the Bull Pit of eBay so I would say do not rush into a deal , give as much detail as you can about the car and see who comes forward , believe me there are people out there that will love this car  [-/
Also a few guys looking to make a fast Buck  ::) ::) ::)

Sorry to here about your Mum Max, I have to agree with Rusty's comments, The 126 Aircooled are becoming very collectable Even on Ebay they fetch a good price even better with a full MOT especially with summer on the way. The way i look at it is the more someone is willing to pay for it the better chance of it being looked after in the years to come.Weigh up all your options and offers then make your decision ;)

Host them somewhere like photobucket and link them, not a lot of storage space on the local server I don't think :)

ps. I'd be putting in an offer if I had the spare cash right now!
