Welcome to the forum :D anything is do-able with the 126. it just depends on how far you want to go, get in touch with TRS they speak english  and specialize in engine transplants.
Check out youtube (fiat 126 rally) also check out hudsonhenry 500 site if it fits in a 500 it will fit in a 126 :D

A Porsche 911 engine drops straight into a beetle.

A Subaru lump into a T25 van.

All very true but certainly never as easy as it sounds.

Bike engines go into 126, even Big block Chevy if you are so inclined but always a huge job and lots of head scratching.

As Pete says TRS, or retro500. Tons on this site about swaps too.

good luck.

PS: if you are a recently new 126 owner 'enjoy it as it is for a while you will be suprised'.

Thanks for the advise. The engine I have just took out has a blown head gasket so rather than repair the 126 engine I would put the uno engine in.

Going to check out the info you have sent me.

It's more work on a BIS, also careful with body mods as you might end-up in the new SVA test territory
