Very nice looking BIS on ebay

This car was on Car & Classic last year for £2700.

That does look a real minter, up to £1750 already. Being a very late BIS, many of the inherant propblems were sorted.

Interestingly, when I first saw it on ebay, there was a buy now option of 2750 quid. It disappeared!! This car has been in the market for just under 3K. The car looks quite nice

When it was listed on ebay the buy it now option went as soon as it hit It's reserve. Will be interesting to see how much it reaches.

I had the car on "watch" on ebay. It disappeared! The seller must have pulled it out of ebay, but why? It still had a couple of days left.

I imagine someone viewed the car, they agreed on a price & the seller ended the auction early by adding a 'Buy it Now' option (which wasn't there whilst it was being bid on). It now shows under 'completed listings' with a 'Buy it Now' price of £2295 so I presume this was the price paid.

That is what you would dexpect. This is the third time this car was advertised. The first time I saw it was when I was hunting for a mint 126 (early 2009), it was advertised at Car and Classic (C&C) for just over 3K. It disappeared from C&C but a reappeared a few months (October) later, but this time on ebay. I called for more photos of the car but was told that it got sold. It has reappeared the third time and then disappeared again. I bet it will show up again in the next couple of months. What is the seller up to?

Ah, re my last message, the completed listing on ebay is in red not green, so my presumption of a buy it now for £2295 may not be correct, though I still assume a price was agreed & that's why the auction was ended early........sorry, if that's all a little confusing!

Only just spotted this thread, i bought it on sunday .
Didnt pay the buy it now price though .

Its a beauty , allthough i paid more than i wanted , i realised many years ago whilst playing with minis, if you  buy a wreck and do it up, it  costs the same if not more than if you buy a mint unrestored example.

could you really buy and restore a potential show winner  with 14000 genuine miles for 2k ?

1st job it to lower it and maybe put 14 inch alloys as opposed to the 13`s.

Not going to mad or so i say..lol  as i have the turbo mini that needs lots doing .

Its is lovely , got 2 very minor rust bubbles ,where the paint had been chipped,  soon to be sorted .
Came home like a dream, 65-75 on the clock all the way , no probs .
Will try and clean it up and post some pics asap

I was also eyeing this car as well actually. I also placed a bid on it as well, as cars in this condition are very rare. It will be good if you keep it original and also keep the mileage low to retain resale value.
