Looks to me like you've got a good buy there. Interior looks very good & car looks solid & a nice origonal example. Super colour & will be a cracking car when resprayed. Good luck.

You guys should have a bit of a seventies meet........orange, lime green & white......some lovely seventies colours there. You could dress up in colour coded period costumes!

No Chris, I've yet to find myself an air cooled. I've now started looking at alternative classics (sorry), but a 126 is still high on the list. One of the appealing aspects of wanting a 126 is this excellent Forum!

True, the 126 is pretty unique! I'm thinking of a standard Beetle, so a few similarities with an air cooled 126.......basic, rear engine, air cooled, funky colours, charm, rust!

This must be one of the very few left out there of these early RHD 126s in this condition. I am pleased it has gone to good home. Well done!!

 Just a quick update. Fitted my new mirror(thanks Jan). It is nice and shiny and it was a perfect fit to the existing holes. Fitted gutter trim, which I think looks quiet nice. I promise, no more bling. Took all the drums to bits and cleaned all the parts. She`ll get 4 new wheel cylinders, as the ones on looked pretty seized. It was sitting around for too long. Hopefully Saturday is MOT day, so fingers crossed.

Lad, is this mirror tight enough? I still cannot manage my one

 What do you mean is not tight enough There is two screws at the bottom with a metal plate to tighten the arm. Or is it not tight on the door?

Doors are fine. I did both screws but there is still a bit of play. Tried to put something in between as well - no affect
