Stainless Steel Braided Flexible Brake Hoses

  Anyone interested in Stainless Steel Braided Flexible Hoses at less than the recommended retail price  I have been doing some developement work and negotiating & if I buy a number of these I think I can offer a 25% reduction. When I say stainless I also mean "all stainless" construction including the end fittings and guarenteed for life performance spec items. Only got samples so far but if all goes to plan then you are looking at £48 + postage. There will be 4 sets of 4 lines ( 2 front & 2 Rear ) available plus I am looking at getting a front "Special" made up that will have the male connection to go straight into the Cinquecento / Seicento disc brake calliper for those that have or are thinking of doing that conversion  [-/

Not looking for any cash at the moment until I get the hardware in my hand & check the final design so will let you know.
I originally bought a set of Goodridge braided hoses with the zinc plated fttings for my car before I realised that you could get stainless fittings. (I noticed that there are a set of these on eBay at the moment for about £75 + postage) I have fitted the rears but was slightly concerned as the standard "long nose" brake pipe union on the 126 & 500s only go in about 3 turns on the thread.
I had no luck trying to get better prices from any Goodridge suppliers but I noticed recently that there is a new kid on the block , Hel Brake Lines & they are doing all stainless lines at a very competetive price.
I now have Hel samples plus the Goodridge lines to compare. They both look equaly good but the Hel lines win the contest by being stainless.
So after a struggle I discovered that there are long & short (no long nose) brake pipe unions with the correct thread so got hold of some short ones. So I have tested these on the flexibles. Results are as follows , original Hel fitting only 2.5 turns on the thead so not good, Goodridge 4.5 turns so a possible and alternative Hel fitting 6 turns so that comes out on top again  [-/

OK so white van man called today with a big box of stuff . I was surprised as the company told me they would let me know when they were shipping the bits. Slight shock when I saw the bill as they have got my card details . They told me that the prices they quoted included VAT but they have added it on plus they doubled the number of 126 standard to Disc Brake Caliper special hoses so ouch in the credit card department. Sure I can sort it out but on the plus side the the flexible all stainless brake lines are very nice bits of kit . Also I am not sure if it is by luck or my advice but the female fittings are about 5mms deeper so they will take the standard solid line fittings so they will go straight on. So I reckon I can do the best and cheapest items that you can get your hands on plus I have the company registration details as they are garenteed for life . I have standard rears , standard fronts and disc brake front specials so happy to do any pair or mix and match to suit  [-/

Hi Doug,
Yes I do have them available. Bit of a story as ever 
I have available 6 pairs of disc brake specials @ £26 a pair , 5 pairs of standard front lines @ £24 a pair (non disc brake) & 2 pairs of standard rear brake lines @ £24 a pair.
Standard replacement (or existing) front hoses can be fitted to the Cinque / Seicento calipers using an M10 x 1 banjo bolt . Original banjo bolt in front brake cylinder is M10 x 1.25.
So I have also got a few more stainless steel bits as I like parts that do not rust up & seize.
I have stainless banjo bolts of both types & stainless bleed nipples.
Also have some new plated standard banjo bolts

HI there, picked-up the braided brake lines from Rusty today.
I'm being made to work for a change as it is spring and agriculture starts to go nuts in spring so my life is not my own, hence the lack of coms.

I'd just like to say that all the lines Rusty has should be snapped-up quickly!

They're the best quality braided hoses I have seen in ages, and I have had a few sets for the motorbikes. The ones on my 1100 Yamaha are rusting after 2 years, the ones on the little 600 have started fraying in places. On comparism the ones Rusty has are THE PROPER JOB!
