Was the buyer a forum member? It would be good to know what he does with your car.

Hi guys, i am the new owner of Frazer`s car and can confirm it's gone to a good home.

Once the starter and other bits and pieces are sorted, I will be using daily to commute to work (~40 mile round trip). My wife will be learning to drive in it (although she may be in for a culture shock as her instructor has a BMW mini).

She is currently deciding on a name for a car. I'm favouring Massimo to keep in with its Italian roots. She's leaning towards Tobermory. She is also drawing up plans to add loose seat covers to the front to protect the original interior.

As she is a Cath Kidston fan, I'm dreading it ;)

She has promised they can come off when we go to events in it though.

Thanks Chris, we will be attending some events in it, need some bits and bobs are there any good UK suppliers apart from Ricambio?
I know my way around these having had several 500`s and a 126, the last one being 15 or more years ago............Martin

Here are two suppliers which I have used on a number of occassions. My experience with these suppliers have been good. I am not sure if other forum members share my view.

Axel Gerstl
https://webshop.fiat500126.com/?PATH_INFO=/katalog/showarticles/240203-2-underbody_und_sills.html&

Handels GmbH
https://www.fiatclassic.com/

Proietti Limited is another UK supplier like Ricambio but like Ricambio are expensive.

Thanks for that, not been to the second of those two sites, some good stuff on there at good prices too, front wings look cheap, once the car is up and running again i may pick a n/s one up as the one on the car is going very scabby round the front part of the arch........Martin

It's sad to see one like that go but at least it will be loved. The wheels that is has, were they 12 or 13 inch.

I wish! :P
Looking at a Punto JTD HGT to replace the Sei which I'm gifting to my mum as soon as the finance is completed, her Laguna died after 16 years faithful service.

The engine is out of the 126 at the moment as the starter motor was hanging off when i picked it up, the lower starter bolt threads are damaged and the top bolt was sheared off in the block. The only way to get the bolt out which was sheared level with the engine block was to remove the engine, i am busy putting up a 24`x12` workshop but may get a chance to attack the bolt this weekend, probably have to be drilled and a stud extracter used. The n/s front wing is looking very secondhand now with rust so i will be fitting a replacement also looking for a reasonably priced starter motor, this one seems to work intermitantly, probably just the brushes........Martin

The broken bolt has now been removed but all four exhaust elbow threads will need helicoiling, there was only one bolt holding the rear elbow to the head and the other was very loose and bent, you probably couldn`t hear the blow over the noise from the Breada </
Will be putting a stock exhuast back on it and will weld the crack in the Breada up and put it up for sale on here. I love these cars, engine disconnected and out in 40 mins, i`m sure others have done it quicker. It has a lot of oil sprayed around it which i assume came from the loose fitting dipstick, i will get a repacement rubber for it off ebay and clean the engine up for the moment before putting it all back, hopefully within the next couple of weeks (other projects on the go as well). This will be the last update on this part of the forum, i will post more on the main part rather than the for sale section.........Martin
