Hello all!
« on: January 16, 2010, 09:47:39 PM »
Hi everyone, some of you will know me from the old forum so a big hello to you. Ive owned three 126 FSMs and stupdly sold my last one about 2 1/2 years ago. Ive seriously regretted it ever since but at the time it was the right thing for me :(

Anyway, Im on the lookout for another 126, but Im a fussy so and so, it must be as immaculate as can be and I prefer the Polish ones over Italian... but must be a proper one i.e. no CAT or electronic ignition late Polish ones!
Im in no rush, but Ill keep looking in here :D

Oh nice to see all the old members still very active ;D

Hi Barry!

Long time no speak! I hope youre well.

What cars have you been tinkering with in the mean time? Still got your vespas?

I knew you would regret sale of your aircooled fsm!! that was a good runner.

Hope you can get another before the summer!

Regards

Chris

Hi Chris, yes I shouldnt have sold her. The new owner said he was going to bring her up to a restored condition as he had one when he was young. He seemed a decent bloke, but.... he phoned my wife a couple of months ago to say he had done only a couple of hundred miles in her and was selling for 1k. Anyway, he said he would trade her in under the scrappage scheme if he couldnt sell. Well, I didnt have any money then and if hes scrapeed her

I havent seen her on ebay etc so no idea whats happened. It was one of the better 126s out there too, well worth a grand. Im gutted.

I bought a Mini after the 126... hated it so sold it on at a profit and havent botheed since. I sold my Panda 903 too. Just have one car and a big scoot now so room for a 126 :D
Ive been looking at them on ebay etc... my god there is some rubbish about though! Theyve got so pricey too of late.

I dont mind LHD at all, but Im very very wary of buying a car from Poland. Ive been there a few times, Ive seen the bodging they can do and its scary ;)
I also have seen the poor quality of some Polish made aftermarket stuff, in the shops and online and Im sure many of those cars in Poland will have those bits fitted. There are still good UK 126s about, its finding them!

I got my fingers burnt a bit when Poland joined the EU and loads of people were offering parts at supposedly cheap prices. I bought some, and found the bad quality and when I went to Poland I realised how ripped off I had been :(

I didn't sell you anything :D
But without jokeing, it is a loads but loads sh***t over there at the present. Just because all stocks of factory parts will have to run out one day... :(
But if you will look deep enough in the matter you will find proper places.
